About Us
Jon is a seeker at heart, who can’t stop wondering why people say the things they do, so he does it professionally! He prefers the Northwest, a lover of water and mountains and trees, but will take any coastal region, really. On any given day, you’ll find him listening to an audio book at 1.75x speed, driving up and down I5, to and from work. After the commute, he will use his super-power of both finding and fitting into tight parking spaces at peak hours. Once he arrives home, he’s greeted by the symphony of buskers, honking cars, homeless people yelling at trees, and the purring of Peter and Paul, who use him as a piece of furniture and treat dispenser. Then, he may explore a new world, like the teeming oceans of Subnautica, or the treacherous landscape of Faerun with his D&D group. Or, he might explore a new career, like small town farmer, in Stardew Valley, or daycare assistant for children from broken homes, in Modern Warfare. While the day to day varies in scope and specifics, you will always find him searching the unknown, seeking transcendent experiences, and trying to derive an ought from the is.
Yas is a cactus-girl somehow blooming in the dreary mist and cloud-cover of the Northwest. She’s a highly intuitive home planning visionary, ranch dip expert, and job creator, employing Pete the cat as town sheriff/bug hunting expert and the comfort-loving Paul as her deputy sidekick. Her super power is getting free stuff. On any given day, you’ll find her playing All-star level office point guard at Amazon, calling plays and dishing no-look dimes to her directors and VPs. When she gets home you might find her scoping deals on Free People, watching Frasier, searching for the perfect French fry, divining the intentions of Bachelor contestants, or dominating multiplayer visual puzzle games. She enjoys reggaeton, tchotchkes, binge reading, not moving her car, and ordering the same thing from restaurants every time she goes because she likes and what she likes and she’s absolutely not triggered while typing this.
